The Red Lion

COMING SOON

We are looking forward to renovating and bringing this lovely 16th Century pub and restaurant with rooms up to date by Summer 2024.

Within one mile’s easy walk in our village of Madley, The Red Lion will be a great place to eat and relax, a community hub with a super beer garden with views over the adjoining farmland.

Our aim is for casual dining – dogs, wellies and children welcome.  The food will be focussed on local and seasonal produce, some from our garden at Swinmoor Farm.  Unfussy and simple, but really tasty and served by a team known for their fantastic customer service.  This will be food that you look forward to eating and find it hard to choose between menu options but that isn’t going to break the bank.

We want to cultivate a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that makes you really want to return, with roaring fires, darts and pool teams, there will be great local ales and immaculate grounds for you to relax and enjoy with colourful parasols over the tables.

The bedrooms will be spacious, have comfortable beds, good showers, crisp linen and there will be hearty breakfasts – what’s not to love!
