As owners, we are a local family with two young children that cares about making this venture a success for our local community and for all the brilliant holiday homes in the area too.  We know most of the farming base across Herefordshire and so will have excellent connections if needed to source the best local and seasonal produce.

We are experienced in renovating properties and we are deeply ingrained in the local farming community, enjoying a really wide network right across Herefordshire.  Our expertise lies in excellent marketing, making properties attractive that people love being in and top rate customer service.

You will be part of a wider team with a great support network, fantastic marketing and a huge network to reach out to build a superb and loyal customer base.  We are a team that treats staff well and will support with paperwork but without micro managing and absolutely no politics allowed.  We have a huge energy and drive – and have already successfully created a number of businesses across the area.

HEAD CHEF

We are looking for an experienced chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen – menu creation, food preparation to a high presentation standard, and staff and inventory management. We are aiming for great quality, delicious food, not gastro or fussy, utilising the fantastic local and seasonal produce available through our company network of the best farmers across the counties.

We are looking for:

• Keen eye for high standards.
• Ensure food quality and hygiene are maintained at highest levels.
• Opportunity to develop kitchen garden at our farm in the village.
• Ability to create a seasonal and menu autonomy on a regularly changing Specials board
• Aim to serve 70-80 covers per day on weekends.
• Experience in running a kitchen and team.
• Super food presentation.
• Strong financial acumen in managing expenses, purchasing and inventory.
• Focus on British cuisine
• Proven track record
• You will be a critical member of our team and central to the success of this new venture.

Salary:

• Onsite Parking / Live in Accommodation available
• Circa £35k pa basic – depending on experience and can be negotiated
• + Bonus / tips and profit share

FRONT OF HOUSE

This is a brilliant role for a really friendly, happy person with great organisational skills and attention to detail. We are looking for a full time, permanent person to join our team and help lead, manage and train the front of house team.

We are looking for:

• We need someone to meet and greet, organising and overseeing bookings, ensure superb customer service and building rapport with all guests esp local community – build darts, pool teams etc
• Use skills to multi task
• Prepare accurate and efficient guest billing
• Create welcoming friendly atmosphere with a superb customer experience for all
• Ability to handle customer feedback (and complaints)
• Collaborate with the kitchen team
• Ideal for someone wanting a hands on approach, and looking to develop their career and build something to be proud of
• Flexibility to help choose local ales and beers, a great wine and spirit line up
• Opportunity to help create your own events and accommodation block to bring in additional income streams
