The Granary

The Granary at Swinmoor is set on the edge of the beautiful Golden Valley, surrounded by lovely countryside. 8 miles away is the ancient city of Hereford which dates back to the 7th century, boasting a magnificent cathedral and a medieval bridge over the winding River Wye. The wonderful market town of Hay-on-Wye is also nearby, famous for its 30 plus bookshops, excellent pubs, restaurants and antique shops, making it one of the most visited tourist attractions in Wales.

This is a beautiful part of rural England, perfect for a holiday at anytime of the year. Herefordshire is an undiscovered county and well worth exploring.

The Granary is set in the heart of our immaculate farm, with open views over our mature garden and wildlife lake, to the rolling fields and Black Mountains beyond.

ENTRANCE
The entrance porch has good storage for your boots and coats and the hall has a desk and chair.

KITCHEN / DINING ROOM
The Kitchen is well equipped and leads directly to the patio for outdoor dining and entertainment.  It has a cream Aga, plus electric cooker and hob, integrated dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, pantry cupboard

BEDROOM 2
A beautifully designed king bedroom with oak floors, sumptuous linens and stunning décor, located on the ground floor.

WET ROOM
A ground floor wet room with spacious shower serves Bedroom 2 and doubles as a cloakroom.

LIVING ROOM
The Living Room is a large yet cosy space, ideal for relaxing and unwinding.  Located on the first floor with a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and trusses, a woodburner it takes advantage of the wonderful open views.

MAIN BEDROOM WITH ENSUITE
Located upstairs is this lovely suite with half vaulted ceiling, exposed cruck beams, a super king bed and lots of windows to two aspects overlooking the garden rolling down to the wildlife lake. There is also an adjoining refurbished en-suite shower room.

OUTSIDE
A stunning sunken hot tub awaits with amazing views over the rolling fields, perfect for watching the sun set. The garden has a super patio area with open views to the lake and to the Black Mountains in the West.  There is parking adjoining the property.

Sorry we cannot welcome dogs to this one of our Swinmoor holiday homes, they are very welcome at The Lodge, Swinmoor House and Garden Cottage.

The Granary is ideally designed for adults, it is not suitable for younger children but guests over 13 are welcome.

Very comfortable with plenty of space and all the equipment you would need. Friendly owner and housekeeping staff. Very comprehensive manual/guide provided. Hot tub was lovely - clean and warm. We travelled around quite a bit during our stay so it was lovely to return back to peaceful, comfortable surroundings at the end of the day.

Garden cottage had everything we could have possibly asked for and was in a prime situation for walking our two dogs. Beautifully presented with all mod cons and the added bonus of a hot tub! A welcome bottle of champagne greeted us on our arrival which was very thoughtful. Thank you!

Beautiful cottage, well equipped and finished to a very high standard. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break away and also for those who enjoy long peaceful walks in the countryside. Dog friendly was definitely a bonus for us. Will be returning soon.
